Bergzicht Game Lodge offers guided hunting safaris on our exquisite game ranch just south of Windhoek, Namibia, with 25 species of plains game on 60 000 acres of privately owned land.
We recommend planning your hunting trip to last around 10 to 12 days. We do not take double bookings. To experience the adventure of hunting plains game and (occasionally!) perhaps an angry black rhino encounter, then Bergzicht Game Lodge is the place for you!
At Bergzicht Game Lodge we offer 20 exclusive safaris per year. We don't allow 'double bookings' which means when you make your booking we will spend all of our time on you to ensure you have the best Namibian experience we can offer you. With only 20
safaris we can ensure that we hunt sustainably without over hunting our trophies and we also protect and improve the quality of our trophies.
We offer 25 plains game species to hunt and all species are sustainable breeding herds. We don't believe in 'put and take' for hunting purposes. We have 93 square miles of hunting area which makes it possible to obtain a trophy on a daily basis, also because
of the size of the area we don't have to drive to different hunting concessions over far distances to find trophies. All species listed on our website is available at Bergzicht Game Lodge.
Bergzicht is a malaria free hunting area which makes it the perfect destination for your family to accompany you on this experience. We love teaching the younger generation about sustainable hunting and educating everyone on the need for conservation
and viable trophy hunting. We take families or individuals to our local schools to participate in donating meat to the community - we believe it is important to figuratively show how trophy hunting adds value locally.

Bergzicht Game Lodge is the perfect hunting destination for individuals or families to relax, and experience hunting without constantly feeling anxious about African diseases (like malaria or yellow fever). Property & Location
We have 7 en-suite rooms with a daily laundry and room cleaning service. We offer 3 meals a day; breakfast which includes a hot and a cold buffet, and for lunch and dinner we offer a 3 course meal, respectively. Our professional cook creates mouth-watering dishes by making use of meat hunted during the safari - each lunch and dinner meal can be accompanied with traditional South African wines. (All meals and services are all inclusive, except for trophy and trophy handling fees.)
We do have a variety of vegetation and habitat which enables us to have 25 different plains game species available.
Our habitat varies from open grass land, savannah, thick shrub areas, thick bush areas, little hills (koppies) to mountains, also rocks and hills to red Kalahari sand.
To see all of the contrasting terrains in one day really adds to the special Bergzicht factors!
Our property is game fenced, a low game fence. The reason behind fencing for us is to keep neighbouring farm's cattle out of our area as well as to keep our animals protected and safe from trespassing onto the cattle farms. Game farms with wildebeest (blue
and black) are obliged by law to have double fences as they carry the virus malignant catarrhal fever which is very dangerous to cattle.
- Pvt Owned
This property is high fenced to ensure that the animals which are known as 'jumpers' does not jump into the neighbouring cattle farms as well as to ensure the animals remains on our property. We also keep them in the higher fenced area to prevent them from being shot by cattle farmers as the animals will be compete for the vegetation with cattle.
We lease hunting rights for a 10 year period.
This is game fenced for the same reasons as mentioned above. This game farm belongs to a foreign national and we lease the hunting rights on this property for a period of 10 years (of which 8 years remains). This property is adjacent to our two privately-owned areas, one you start hunting you won't even be able to notice the difference!
3 x 4x4 modern Land Cruiser vehicles to ensure the ride in the veld is comfortable as assists us in spotting animals before the walk and stalk commences.
In the past 2 consecutive years we've been able to shoot 4 animals qualifying for the NAPHA top 10 trophies.
