Spear Safaris
It is hard to tell a total stranger what puts you above your competitors. My answer: my optimism about pleasing my clients and producing a safari of a lifetime. I have had this philosophy since I started hunting professionally in 1989 and the passion continues.
Spear Safaris is owned and operated by Ernest and Marita Dyason. This family-owned hunting business is dedicated to ensuring a hunting safari experience that “surpasses all expectations”. We offer excellent and affordable buffalo and plains-game hunting safaris on our combined concessions in the north of Limpopo Province, South Africa, as well as a huge variety of plains-game species throughout South Africa.
We also offer hunting safaris in other African countries such as Tanzania, Cameroon, Uganda and many others.
Spear Safaris is not a high-client turnover safari company – we rather offer personalized service from both Ernest and Marita, before, during and after the safari. Ernest is a Member of PHASA, SCI and DSC, and is committed to sustainable utilization and fair-chase hunting.
Ernest and Marita Dyason have owned and operated Spear Safaris as a top quality Hunting and Photo Outfit for more than 30 years. When we started we were very small and placed all our efforts and attention in the particular customer and safari, to ensure an unforgettable experience while surpassing all expectations. As our business grew, we adapted, but never relinquished our sentiments around providing specialized attention to each and every customer. We do not just broker hunts, we Outfit, and personally guide, all our customers in the field. With time, we also started getting requests to hunt in different locations to our usual destinations, and soon realized that in order to maintain the level and quality of our product, we needed to expand, resulting in Spear Safaris offering hunts in Southern Africa, East Africa as well as West Africa, offering a staggering list of huntable species throughout Africa. Today Spear Safaris offers, on a regular basis, hunts in South Africa,Tanzania, and Cameroon. Additionally to these and when the need arises also Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Benin, Burkina Faso and Mozambique.
