Hunting area: The hunting area in the Khomas Highlands is a 43 000 acre free-range conservancy, and is one of the most game-rich areas of Namibia. Huge oryx, zebra and hartebeest herds roam the mountains, and the majestic kudu bulls are a unique characteristic there.
Climate: There are two main weather seasons in Namibia: Winter starts in May and ends in September. The temperature during the day is about 68°– 77° F, and during the night it can drop to 30° Fahrenheit. Therefore, we recommend bringing a warm jacket and a scarf for the cool morning hours.
Summer time starts in October and ends in April. The temperature reaches 82 F° – 90 °F. During the night it cools down to approximately 68° Fahrenheit.
Health: The Khomas Highlands is a malaria-free area, and there are several hospitals in Windhoek which are easy to reach in a short time. For necessary injections please contact your doctor.
Catering: In our Heusis River Lodge all of our guests enjoy an all-inclusive service of breakfast, a tasty lunch and coffee and cake in the afternoon. There is a three-course menu in the evening, including as non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
We also offer you a cost-free daily laundry service
