Thierry Labat Safaris is a very small, personalized company based out of Zimbabwe, but also offers hunts in multiple countries that include Cameroon, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mauritius and Mozambique.
We offer personalized safaris to suit the client’s budget and main targeted species. Not personally owning areas ourselves means we do not have the pressure of fulfilling quotas, but instead we make sure that we take you to the best area for your needs.
Our chief goal is to ensure that the client has an enjoyable and memorable safari. TLS has an 80%+ repeat clientele base which in itself speaks volumes. Our high standard of hunting ethics is of utmost importance, not only to us, but to our industry as a whole, and we endeavor to keep those standards high. When dealing with us, our word is our bond!
Thierry Labat Safaris prides itself in customizing safaris for its clients depending on their budget, maintarget species and accommodation preferences. We do not own any one particular area so are not under pressure to sell and full fill quotas but instead we just work out which area will suit your required needs thus ensuring that you will have the best possible opportunity to have an enjoyable and successful safari. Property & Location
Our main lodge in Zimbabwe, Ingwe Lodge on Sango, was rated the 5th most exclusive hunting lodge in the world in 2009. It is truly a 5-star Lodge.
Our main area in Zimbabwe, the Save Valley Conservancy is made up of various types of vegetation andterrain. Mopane woodland, riverine vegetation, rocky outcrops and hills with some areas being fairly openconsisting of acacia scrub and trees. Combretum forests also make up a significant part of the vegetation.

Sango itself is not fenced, but falls within the Save Valley Conservancy which in itself is partly fenced. The Save Valley Conservancy in its entirety is 750,000 acres.

Humani in itself is not fenced, but is within the Save Valley Conservancy. There are no fences between properties within the Save Valley Conservancy, but the Conservancy as a whole is partly fenced.
- Other
This property is not fenced and is on the border of the Kidepo National Park. There are people that live within the hunting area but there is a core area of about 50,000 acres where there are no inhabitants.
- State Owned
This property of 380,000 acres is fenced, and is strictly for wildlife. There are no internal fences.
- Pvt Concession
Block 22 /27 are not fenced and are surrounded by other concessions and community.

I have twice been awarded the Zimbabwe Professional Hunter of the year award in 2011 and in 2016. I have also won prizes for biggest leopard and elephant taken in Zimbabwe for the year 2016. Runner up biggest plains game of the year taken in Zimbabwe 2017.
